iDesign is a US-based housewares company that specializes in home storage and organisation products. Founded in 1974, iDesign makes high quality and thoughtfully designed organisers for the bathroom, kitchen and other spaces in your home.
In this post, I review three of their highly rated products: a rotatable spice rack, a fridge organiser box and a plastic covered egg container. All three are great for organising your kitchen.

1. iDesign Rotatable Spice Rack
Let’s start with the spice rack.
I have come across dozens of spice racks and organisers and this one by iDesign is the simplest I’ve seen. That’s a great thing.
Its simplicity is what makes it so good. It’s made with clear plastic and looks like a turntable. It turns on a stainless steel ball bearing, giving you a 360-degree access to all your spices.
Without pull out drawers, racks or any of the other extra features of other spice racks, the iDesign spice rack fits easily in almost any space.
You can place it on the kitchen counter, put it inside a cabinet, or even put it inside your fridge (handy for organising condiments and sauces that need to be refrigerated).

- It’s versatile. As we’ve seen, you can use it in different places in the kitchen. It’s also great for other rooms and uses where you need storage and easy access. Put it on your desk to organise pens and art supplies that you use often. Use it in your bathroom to store your bath products.
- A ribbed bottom and a lip all around the rack keeps items from falling out.
- Available in 3 sizes including 23cm, 28.5cm and the largest one at 35.6cm.
- The turntable style rack has a smooth rotation that makes it easy to access whatever you need. Just be careful not to overload it beyond the recommended capacity as that can prevent smooth rotation.

2. iDesign Fridge Organiser
If you have a hard time keeping your fridge well organised and often have trouble finding what you need, get the iDesign fridge organiser.
It is a clear plastic container, so you can easily see its contents at any time. Integrated handles allow you to easily lift and carry the box, even when it’s full.
The iDesign fridge organiser is available in two square sizes: 20.3 x 20.3 x 15.2cm and 20 x 20 x 15cm.
Here are some other features.
- Safe for use in the fridge and freezer.
- The containers are designed to be easy to stack. So you can buy multiple of them and stack them on top of each other.
- The containers are highly versatile. They are not just ideal as fridge organisers, you can also use them to organise stationery, bathroom products, small toys, crafts and anything else you need.
- The compact size means you can place the box just about anywhere including on a table or counter, in a cabinet, on the bookshelf and so on. And with the clear design, you always know what each container has.

Cons
- Not suitable if you are shipping for lidded containers. These don’t come with a lid.
3. iDesign Clear Recycled Plastic Covered Egg Container
Finally, let’s look at the egg organiser. It’s a lidded egg tray/box. Having an egg container with a lid makes a huge difference.
With most other fridge egg trays, you can’t place anything else on top as that would crush the eggs. That wastes precious vertical space.
In contrast, the iDesigned egg container has a box-like design with a hard plastic lid on top. You can safely stack more containers on top of it without crushing the eggs.
The container features slots for up to 15 eggs. If you want more storage, you can buy multiple of the containers and stack them in your refrigerator.
Here are other great features.
- Similar to other iDesign organiser containers, this one also comes with built-in handles. You can easily carry the eggs in and out of the fridge.
- The container is made from hard clear plastic. In addition to being durable, you can easily see how many eggs you have left without having to open the container or take it out of the fridge.
- The egg container measures 15.2 x 30.5 x 10.8cm. It’s designed to fit in most refrigerators without taking up too much space. And, as I mentioned, you can stack more containers on top of it.

- Compact design allows it to fit in most fridges.
Cons
- Not dishwasher safe.
Anything Else You Should Know?
One of the things I love about these iDesign organisers is that they are all clear. That’s a big deal when it comes to storing stuff in the kitchen, bathroom or anywhere else.
You can immediately see what’s in a box or organiser without having to use labels, lift it up or open it.
The build quality of these organisers is also impressive. They are all made from hard plastic. They don’t break easily and you don’t have to worry about them fading or rusting.
I also love how thoughtfully designed each of the items are. The spice rack with its ribbed bottom to keep items from falling out, the handles on the fridge containers for easy portability and the lid on the egg organiser for safe stacking.
The only minor downside of the iDesign organisers is that they are not dishwasher safe. You can only hand clean them. But that’s a small sacrifice and, in any case, you don’t have to clean them daily.

Overall, the three kitchen organisers are excellent value for money. They are made to last, they are versatile and they are easy to use.
